Medical massage is designed to address specific medical conditions or diagnoses, often as part of a broader treatment plan prescribed by a healthcare provider. It can be highly targeted to alleviate symptoms associated with various conditions such as chronic pain, injury rehabilitation, or post-surgical recovery. By focusing on techniques like targeting trigger points, improving circulation, and reducing inflammation, medical massage aims to provide therapeutic benefits beyond just relaxation.
HSA and FSA
For your convenience Valerie does accept HSA and FSA cards. Be sure to be up to date with the requirements of your plan to avoid penalties, for example, documentation including the name and contact information of the prescribing office, date of the referral, the diagnoses codes of your condition, how many sessions and for what duration of time may be required.
Working with Insurance
Valerie is not currently contracted with any insurance provider. If your insurance covers out of network massage, Valerie is happy to provide you with any documentation you need from her if you choose to file a claim for reimbursement. You will still be expected to pay the standard cost of the session at the time of the appointment. Full or partial reimbursement is not guaranteed. Like HSA and FSA cards, you may be required to have documentation including the name and contact information of the prescribing office, date of the referral, the diagnoses codes of your condition, how many sessions and for what duration of time.
