Snot Monkeys

Jermiah Pie was just coming into his magic as a wizard.

He once made a tiny sandstorm then made a tiny blizzard.

He liked practicing spells of protection,

But today, Wizard Zulu had him practicing animation.

He had to start with a mold substance like a liquid or clay,

Then he had to concentrate on the form as he uttered the spell not for play.

He managed a swordfish out of water and a dragon out of rice.

And deer out of oatmeal and a bird out of root beer, not once but twice.

And just as he was trying to make a monkey out of glue,

He sneezed and launched the spell out the window to land on the next available goo,

Which just so happened to be that walking by,

Was Sandra Taylor, who like to wipe her nose on the back of her hand to keep her nose dry.

And despite the warnings of Mrs. Taylor that Sandra should always wash her hands,

On this day, like most days, she had not, leaving on the back of her hand, snot lines in bands.

And it just so happened that this was the first goo that Jermiah’s monkey animation spell had found,

So off Sandra’s hand, not just one, but three snot monkeys grew then started hanging upside down,

Then flipped back upright climbing and dangling off of Sandra’s shirt then proceeded to bite her face.

And Sandra started screaming to stop and knocked one to the ground who started to chase.

Jermiah heard the racket and started to run to Sandra’s aid, launching a spell for the snot monkeys to time out.

Jermiah pointed out them and gave a shout.

Sandra was relieved and in tears as she sat rocking on the floor,

Swearing she will always wash her hands when she wipes her nose, leaving them slimy no more.
