In The world of Juju lives separate tiny worlds in bubbles,
Entrances and exits to these worlds are allusive and can bring trouble.
In one small bubble world called Zet,
Lived the Cushion Creatures who hate to get wet.
They live their days under pillows, mattresses and chair cushions,
Where they stay warm and dry, sleeping squished flat from the pushing.
Cushion creatures are shaped like a squeeze toy rubbery ball,
They have long stretchy arms and legs, big round eyes and no nose at all.
When squashed a Cushion Creature goes flat like a pancake,
And they feel quite comfortable like this for hours, until one gives them a shake.
In Zet the ground was billowy and the trees soft and feathery.
The leaves were all thin, light and heathery.
Soft heavy clouds made of cotton hung low,
And the Cushion Creatures made their homes down below.
A Cushion Creature was carnivorous and could consume a whole animal in one bite,
Then immediately digest it, so the animal seemed to just disappear from plain sight.
A Cushion Creature could survive on this meal for a whole year,
And be happy, just lounging around with no fear.
But it happened that one day a Warbler happened to find his way into Zet.
He was large and hairy and loved getting wet.
He found the Cushion Creatures a delicious delight,
So the Cushion Creatures all snuck out of Zet out of fright.
They found themselves in Eram in a city called Habbydoo.
And the people were quite normal for a city in Juju.
And the Cushion Creatures found mattresses, couches and recliner chairs,
To happily sneak into and cozy up under there.
But in the Zipher house, Mary and Troy
Were an energetic pair for a girl and a boy.
So they happened to sneak away in their room,
And jump on their beds unbeknownst to them that this was their doom.
For the rustle and the bustle woke the Cushion Creatures with a shock,
And they reached their long arms around the mattresses and grabbed the children with a grip like a lock.
Then both Cushion Creatures each opened wide their large stretchy mouth,
And feasted on the children, digesting them south.
But in the next houses without bouncing boys and bouncing girls,
Under a couch, a Cushion Creature yawned and uncurled,
Happy to be cozy and flat when someone came to sit,
Happy to live there forever as long as no one bounced on it.
